Here you’ll find tales of friendships, family gatherings, unexpected visitors, long-suffering husbands and the curious social rituals that make everyday life so entertaining. There will be laughter, misunderstandings, acts of kindness and the occasional moment when shutting oneself in a cupboard seems like an entirely reasonable response.
I firmly believe that good relationships require affection, patience, a sense of humour and, on occasion, the ability to bite one’s tongue so hard it practically bleeds.
After all, you can choose your friends, but family is rather more complicated.
